You can report another member in a couple different ways. Check out our instructions below:
How to Report Someone Through Their Profile
In the Plenty of Fish App, head to the member’s profile you want to report and hit the three vertical dots on the top right-hand side of your screen. You’ll see a drop-down menu pop up where you can tap “Report Profile.”
How to Report Someone Through A Message
In the Plenty of Fish App, head to your messages and open up the chat with the member you want to report. Hit the three vertical dots on the top right-hand side of your screen, and just like above, you’ll see a drop-down menu where you can tap “Report Profile.”
How to Report Someone on Our Website
When you want to report someone you’re chatting with on the web version of Plenty of Fish, click the horizontal dots on the right-hand side of the page (just above the member’s profile images or message) and click “Report Profile.”
Reporting Reason
Once you’ve hit “Report Profile,” we’ll ask you to give us a reporting reason from a list of options. Pick the option that best lets us know why you’re reporting this member (you’ll be able to leave comments too). If you’re not quite sure if you should be reporting someone, give our Community Guidelines a read through.
Report Details
Once you’ve reported someone, you might want to block them too (we don’t blame you). Just so you know, your conversations will be deleted when you block someone. Make sure you grab screenshots of key conversations before you block them.
You can give us more info in your report under “Incident Details.” The more details we have, the better, so don’t skip this section! Add anything you think might be relevant to the report so our team has as much context as possible.
After Reporting
After you send your report through, you’ll see a confirmation in your messages. We’ll reach out if we need any other info from you.
