First Contacts and sending messages

Now for the exciting part. Shake out those butterflies and say hello. Write out a clever greeting, unique compliment, or interesting question and send it their way, you never know what could happen next. 

 

Sending a First Contact

  • Did you see their profile and are in awe but you haven't matched with them yet in Meet Me? Try sending them a First Contact and Say hi! If you have run out of First Contacts for the day, consider upgrading to POF Prestige for endless opportunities to make a great first impression.
  • Don't want to commit to an upgrade? You can purchase additional First Contacts as an a-la-cart feature.
  • Please keep in mind that a profile image is required in order to send a first contact.

 

Messaging Mutual Matches

  • If you both said Yes in Meet Me meaning the feeling is mutual, you can send a message straight to them. Message them by tapping on the message button. Don't forget to click on the bell icon to see your latest notifications. Once you mutually match with someone in Meet Me, we'll send you a notification so you know you'll never miss a chance at love.
